A group of people who share or are motivated by at least one common issue or interest, or work together on a specific project or projects to achieve a common objective. Collective consciousness is a term created by French social theorist Émile Durkheim that describes how an entire community comes together to share similar values.

Location: across FM2222 from City Park Rd. (the old "skeet range") Champion Tract 1C

Request: rezone Tract 1C from Limited Retail (with a maximum of 40K square feet retail) to Commercial Services. The applicant states that the zoning change is desired in order to develop two 3-story buildings of warehouse storage units.

Status: The applicant has requested that the Public Hearing for the request to rezone Tract 1C from Limited Retail to Commercial Services be postponed to the March 22 City Council meeting. It is currently scheduled as Item 40 on the March 1, 2018 City Council meeting. Please check back for further updates.

The Zoning & Platting Commission voted at its December 5, 2017 hearing to recommend to Council that the rezoning request be DENIED. Thank you to all who sent email and attended the public hearing!!! You made a difference.
